THOTS Small Thoughts: It’s JUST around the corner!

What angle are you coming from? Are you looking to ‘turn the corner’ and come into a ‘new place or experience’? What ‘place’ are you looking for anyway? And, isn’t it all relative? Consider the following “corner” we must all come to, at some point in our journey and keep coming to.

Luke20:17,18 But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘What then is this that is written: ‘The stone which the builders rejected, this became the chief cornerstone’? Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust.

We either become aligned to Him, from whom all things are measured. Or, in resisting, we become broken and ultimately crushed and scattered.

“Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.” (Daniel 4:37)

“Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were crushed all at the same time and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away so that not a trace of them was found. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.” (Daniel 2:35)

Let us ensure we are aligned with Christ in truth and humility and therefore also aligned and straightened with each other, in His great kingdom. And as benefactors entrusted with the harvest, let us do what is necessary and vital to bring in the crop, that the Master expects.

The Lord is merciful. The Lord is just. Let us be found fruitful. To “produce”, we must!

Be sure to be found within the walls of the great kingdom, which He is building, having been founded upon Him, the strong one, the tested one, the first, the head, the Chief and costly cornerstone. He Who is firmly placed. Aligning two walls. “For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall (Eph 2:14).” Bringing Jews and gentiles together into the one, new man.

What ‘angle’ are you coming from?

May it always be from that angle, created by the cornerstone, that has already been set in place and positioned.

Believe in Him and you will not be disturbed!

Let us not stumble. Let us not fall. He who was rejected, is now Chief of all!

Let us do all with reference and deference, to Christ!

Indeed Lord, let Your kingdom come!

A Question for You…

Is it “business as usual” at your place?

Luke 19: 45-48 Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling, saying to them, “It is written, ‘And My house shall be a house of prayer’, but you have made it a robber’s den. And He was teaching daily in the temple, but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people were trying to destroy Him, and they could not find anything that they might do, for all the people were hanging on to every word He said.

In the temple at the beginning of Jesus ministry (John 2: 13-17) “business as usual” meant making a profit off the people of God who were coming to offer sacrifice and praise. It wasn’t even personal anymore, but commercial and business-like. And now at the end of Jesus earthly ministry it continued again, unabated, in the same way. Oh, how easy it is to fall back into the ways of the world and give a foot-hold to the devil, if we should ‘ere loiter in the courts of disobedience, selfishness and pride and fall victim to deceit and folly. And to be bringing the ways of the world into the temple of God! How can this be? This “robbery” was causing people to stumble, especially the Gentiles in whose court this was taking place. The Gentiles were meant to come to this Jewish God to be saved! What an image of God was being portrayed by those who were meant to know better! Those charged with responsibility and leadership! In fact, it was the devil’s work being done…pay attention to the devil’s words:”drive out” (that which we must do to demons), “robber’s“, and ‘leaders’ seeking to not just kill Jesus, but to “destroy” Him! Know that the thief (satan) comes but to steal, kill and to destroy (John 10:10)! There he was-hidden-doing business in the temple of God with his hidden agenda and his public minions! But Jesus came to give life and that abundantly! (John 10:10). Jesus has the power and authority. Give the devil no room to move in the household of God! Don’t be deceived. Don’t be distracted even for a minute! Don’t allow him even an inch inside the confines of your own temple area, as you move and live and have your being!

Be staying and praying. Be teaching and preaching. Be yelling and expelling!

Be thou not moved! Persist. Prevail. Prolong. Provide. Proclaim!

Sanctification is by means of the Word of God and prayer (1 Ti 4:5). Jesus spoke of prayer in the temple and entered into teaching the Word of God straight away. He was daily found there and the people clung to him and lingered and were hanging off His every word! Daily Jesus had need to. Oh, how much time we must spend there to restore that which has been snatched away, and then even more so, to keep it! So, like Jesus, we too must take a stand for righteousness and truth and take action to drive out-expel-when and where necessary, that which opposes. We must replant that which the devil has taken out through robbery, by means of growth through the Word of God and truth, even each day, and every day. To the end that prayer may be re-established, re-invigorated and nurtured, to bring about salvation and sanctification for all!

Cling to Him who cleaves to you! Hang on to His every word, whose every Word holds on to you!

Be found in His courts. Be found in His Word. Be found in His chambers.

Let this be your “business as usual”.

Is your place-your temple-our temple-“open” for His business?

THOTS Small Thoughts: A Prophetic Thought…

Luke 19: 44 “…because you did not recognise the time of your visitation.”

Jesus is coming back again…and very soon!

How soon?

It’s just “days away”!

What makes me say this? You will need to read to the end!

The inspired prophetic “thought” that came to me at this season of Passover and Unleavened Bread, is as follows:

Let the church consider working for Me for the next 7 years and go all out. Even redouble your efforts. For just as Jacob longed in his heart with loving for Rachel and to be wedded to her, he undertook a time period of 7 years to work to this end. Can you match his efforts? Will you so love and enjoy my company and long for my physical appearing, that in this next little while, you will work away so that My purposes will come to pass?

It struck me that our year is now 2011 (at this feast time) and 7 years hence will be 2018, which will be the 70th year of Israel’s being “re-born” as a nation after being in its own land again “officially”, since 1948. The peoples went into exile and captivity to Babylon and spent 70 years there. And Jerusalem kept its sabbaths 70 years. By 2018, the Jewish people will have spent the same length of time in their land since 1948. 70 (7×10) in Scriptural number significance represents perfect spiritual order being carried out, with all spiritual power and significance, in an intensified way.

No man knows the day nor the hour of Jesus return except Father God.

Indeed, we should quit worrying about His responsibilities and concern ourselves with ours. Ours is to work. The “rest” will come.

Will you be found busy about the Master’s business when the Master returns? And be found faithful to the end?

And so to this end, like Jacob, will you do whatever it takes to “work” and to serve Him, to see His kingdom come, and His will being done on earth, as it is being done in Heaven? Even if it were to mean continuing to work another 7 year period after the first 7 years is over?

If so, and as Jesus is the lover of your soul, whom you also love, you will find that the next period of years leading up the time being completed-whenever that is- like Jacob found, will appear as if it were only a matter of a few days.

Genesis 29:20 So Jacob served seven years for Rachel and they seemed to him but a few days because of his love for her.

Therefore, the Lover of your soul’s return for you… and you for Him…is just “days away!”

Now, in the meantime, love and work.

The marriage supper of the Lamb awaits!

Turn your full face toward Jesus.

A Word of Encouragement

Refers Luke 19: 28-44

v 30-34  Jesus said, ” Go into the village ahead of you, there, as you enter, you will find a colt tied on, which no one yet has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, “Why are you untying it?” you shall say,'”The Lord has need of it.” So those who were sent, went away and found it, just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, “Why are you untying the colt?” They said, “The Lord has need of it.”

If Jesus had need of a donkey

How much more does he have need of you!

If someone calls you an ass,

Thank them for the compliment!

Be thou loosed, to be obedient and compliant

To do our humble Lord’s bidding.

He has Jerusalem in mind for you!

What ‘seat/s’ of grace do you occupy in the theatre of your life?

From Romans 12 (Row 12) and verses 3 to 9

“…but to be thinking with a view to a sensible appraisal of himself according as to each one, God divided a measure of faith. For even as in one body we have many members, but all the members do not have the same function, thus, we, the many are one body in Christ, and members severally one of the other.  Having therefore gifts differing according to the grace given us, whether that of prophecy, prophesy according to the proportion of faith, or serving, exercise that gift within the sphere of service, or teaching within the sphere of teaching, or he who exhorts, within the sphere of exhortation, the one who distributes of his earthly possessions, in the sphere of an unostentatious simplicity, the one who is placed in a position of authority, with intense eagerness and effort, the one who shows mercy, with a joyous abandon. Love, let it be without hypocrisy.”

What is your GREAT Primary Motivator? What ‘seat’ (above), in the Body, do you ‘sit’ in?

G is for the one who Gives.

R is for the one that Rules or Administrates.

E is for he who Exhorts.

A for the one who Attends to, or who serves.

T is for Teaching.

P for Prophesying.

M for the one who shows Mercy.

But don’t think these seats are for “sitting” in. Oh, no! Far from it!

Consider using the seats as an exerciser would when doing “step ups”.

On the top of the ‘seat’ you will read how to ‘exercise’ your gift.

Notice how the bar at the back connects all the seats together? It is grace.

“We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us.”

And according to this grace given to us, each of us is to exercise that gift bestowed.

Notice also, how “God has allotted to each a measure of faith”, as seen in the arm rests.

Lastly, notice how we are to be“grounded and rooted in love”, as depicted by the end stands and base.

Brotherly love. Love without hypocrisy. That’s what supports us and maintains us and keep us all up!

You have what it takes! God has already implanted within you those gifts that others need.

And they have gifts that you need. And what the world needs. Stay connected. “Step up!”

THOTS Small Thoughts: Majoring in Minas

Refers Luke 19:11-28

v13. (Jesus said) Do business with this (one mina) until I come back.

After Jesus returns and receives the kingdom he orders each one of his slaves to give an accounting of what he has gained in business, trading with the one mina (v15)

The first slave ordered to account to the Master, said that his Master’s mina had made 10 more. That’s a 1000% increase! The Lord loves things that come in 1000’s!

That slave, the first one called, who had made 10 minas more, was the only one commended for being “faithful” and “good” because of it. He would have been strict, thorough, reliable and true.

The pattern was 10 minas more…then 5…then a gap to the one who made nothing.

That leaves 7 slaves to fill that ‘gap’, who, according to the pattern Luke gave us, would have made less than 5 by a factor, and all the way down to zero.

Perhaps the majority then just put it in the bank?

Are you trading or banking?

Or have you done nothing yet with what you have?

Be banking on the One whose one mina it is in the first place, that contains within it the kingdom power and authority to multiply even to a factor of ten times more! 10 slaves have a potential to bring in a total of 100 more minas for the Master. That’s 100 + the 10 original = 110. But the world wants to give 110%.

1 mina…1 city.

That’s one mean-a city!

God strongly desires many

cities to be in His kingdom!

What will you bring in?

1 mina…60 shekels…1200 gerah!

You don’t just have just 1 mina…you have 1200 gerah!

Be faithful…do the business…every day is a “trading” day…not just once a week.

Like Jesus, be about your Father’s business, and see the kingdom of God grow! Jesus had “traded” with Zaccheus. The kingdom grew by another one? No, the kingdom trade that took place had a ripple effect out to all the poor people affected by Zaccheus’ decision to give to them half of his possessions. And it didn’t stop there! The ones who were defrauded by him would also get payback many times over. What an advance, through a simple trade! Like Zaccheus, now is the time! Now is the day of salvation! Make the most of the opportunities given you and trade!

“As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” (1 Peter 4:10)

“The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.” (1 Cor 12:7)

“As to each God did deal a maeasure of faith.” (Rom 12: 3)

Be faithful in being pragmatic with your “trading”, and make

the most of trading each day and every day for the Master.

He deserves it! He expects it! Yea, He demands it!

You can do it!

So, do it!

Done.
