I’ll have a Heavenly McFeast Combo please, and hold the fries!

A man went in to a well known drive through and asked for a Heavenly McFeast.

“Hi Sir, welcome to McJohnalds. What would you like to order today?”

Good morning. I’ll have a Heavenly McFeast please.

“Would you like any lies with that sir?”

No, no. Just the truth, straight up, thanks.

“Any shrinks to go?”

No, I’ll just have the burger.

“Will that be on leavened or unleavened buns sir?”

Unleavened thank you.

“And the patties, how would you like them cooked?”

I’ll have my patties, well done, good and faithful please.

“Will there be any Special Source with that?

Oh, yes please. Lots of annointing.

” Ketch up?”

Yes, I’ll have the Catch-up whenever it occurs thank you.

I’ll just have the garden variety please.

“That’s one Garden of Edam then.”

“And because you’ve been a Gouda customer,

I’ll throw in an extra slice for free!”

Thank you, that’s very nice of you.

Are they Egyptian?

Then I’ll just Pass on those, thanks.

Are they Egyptian?

Then my judgement is no also.

Just water thanks.

“With or without lice?”

Are they Egyptian?

Without thanks.

“Any lettuce?”

Yes, let us pray.

“Oh, you can pray at the next window, sir.

Drive through please.”

(drives to next window)

“Hello Sir, that’ll be $10 please.”

Is that Egyptian?

“Yes, of course.”

THE PSALMS: Book 1; Psalm 3

Has someone come up to you and said “Just embrace it!”?

David was left wondering for his life when his adversaries set themselves against him round about. Including his own son!

After crying to the Lord he said, ” I will not be afraid of the ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about”. (v6)

That’s a lot of people.

But guess how many angels were there on the scene around about those who were ’rounding about’ David!

And let’s not forget the glory shield round about David, embracing him!

But you O LORD are a shield about me, my glory and the One who lifts my head. (v3)

David did embrace the situation. But more than that, he embraced Him, who had brought deliverance before and would do so again.

He called upon the name of the Lord, slept, awoke, and was delivered!

It pays to be on the side of the LORD!

“Embrace it?”

Embrace Him!

The Chief among ten thousand.

THOTS Small Thoughts: A Partial Eclipse of Your Faith

Are you being distressed by various trials?

Luke 22:31-32  Simon, Simon, behold, Satan, by asking, has obtained you and your fellow disciples for himself and from my power to his, in order that he may shake you in a sieve as grain is sifted, by an inward agitation, trying your faith to the verge of overthrow. But as for myself, I made petition concerning you that your faith should not be totally eclipsed. And as for you, when you have returned to your original position with respect to your faith, stabilize your brethren.

Satan, your adversary and the accuser of the brethren, would seek the power to shake you in a sieve in plotting your downfall.

But! And FIRSTLY, Jesus has already prayed for you that YOUR FAITH would not be totally eclipsed. Hallelujah!

It is YOUR FAITH that is being tried. It is YOUR FAITH that is on trial.

What will the PROOF of your faith be?

A long time ago, Job also, knew of this trial, and his final response became, “I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted… And I repent in dust and ashes.” (Job 42:2,6)

For your trial is but for a little while.

Peter had warmed his hands by the courtyard firelight at the time of his denial of Him whom he knew, and later only, became aware that what had really transpired was the testing of his faith by a different, more real FIRE.

Gold may be purified in the fire and come out being of higher PROOF. But your faith, which is more precious than gold, it is this which is to come out proven and more pure.

Let the refining take place, for God has allowed it, to the end that you take on the distinctive image and branding of Christ Himself, and become more measured in your mirroring of Him, that will ultimately be found to result in praise, and glory and honour at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (1 Pet 1: 6-8)

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith.(1 Jn 5:4)
